Established on 20 September 1961. The main purpose is to extend the agricultural innovations to farmers by using radio broadcasting technic. The agricultural innovations are collected from the results of research not only conducted by Kasetsart University but also by the other government agency , text books and the experiences of the successful farmers. The station also aids in public relations, building understanding between the University and the community outside. In addition, the station provides the University's students opportunity to gain skill in the radio production in agricultural information and entertainment to farm people and the general public. The K.U. Radio Network have four stations in the big cities of Thailand (Bangkok, Chiengmai, Khonkhen and Songkhla provinces) , each equipped with a 10 kilowatt (Chieng Mai 5 kilowatt) transmitter through "Thai Khom 1" satellite, broadcasting daily on the A.M.
