Downtown Radio

Downtown is a brand synonymous with radio audiences across Northern Ireland having been the first commercial radio station to launch in the country back in 1976. For almost 40 years the station has provided great local content, delivered in an entertaining and engaging manner with many of the station’s presenters firm favourites and household names. Downtown was also the ‘stomping ground’ for many of the UK’s biggest personalities - Eamon Holmes and Gloria Hunniford started their careers in broadcasting here. Still, Downtown is the only province-wide commercial station in Northern Ireland, regularly attracting over 250,000 weekly listeners.
