The Bear 101.5 FM

CKNL-FM is a Canadian radio station that broadcasts a mainstream rock format at 101.5 FM in Fort St. John, British Columbia. The station is branded as 101.5 The Bear and is owned by Astral Media. It is the third "Bear" rock station in Canada after CFBR-FM in Edmonton, Alberta and CKQB-FM in Ottawa, Ontario (which switched brandings to Virgin Radio in January 2009, as it retained its mainstream rock format), leaving only two "Bear" stations under ownership of Astral Media. However, Ottawa's Virgin Radio changed its identity back to The Bear on February 4, 2011, which means there are now three "Bear"-branded radio stations in Canada. Sister station CKRX-FM in Fort Nelson, British Columbia became the fourth "Bear"-branded station in mid-2011.
