Welcome to VOWR Radio, located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. VOWR is the only radio station owned by The United Church of Canada and has been broadcasting from the same location (Patrick Street and Hamilton Avenue) since 1924. Our station began as an outreach ministry of Wesley United Church and was the 'child' of Rev. Dr. J.G. Joyce. Operated solely by volunteers, our station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - we are never off the air! VOWR can be heard on the AM dial at 800 (on the Avalon Peninsula), on-line by clicking the radio beneath the index table, and now on Rogers Digital Television on Channel 945 and on Bell Aliant Digital Cable.
