Studio One is Iowa Public Radio’s alternative music station, playing the songs you know and love and the artists you need to know now. We're an independent, non-profit radio station not beholden to commercial interests or corporate playlists. We're community-based and support our local scene. Which means you'll hear the bands playing Iowa venues and the upcoming Iowa artists making their name throughout the state. ou hear more music than ads. We broadcast our locally-curated playlists on KKSO, 94.1 in Des Moines and 88.9 in Bondurant.
